Quick Cleaning Procedure – Brother LC3017 / LC3019
On the printer touchscreen:
INK → IMPROVE PRINT QUALITY → CHECK PRINT QUALITY
Alternative menu path:
SETTINGS → MAINTENANCE → IMPROVE PRINT QUALITY → CHECK PRINT QUALITY
- Open the Ink or Settings menu.
- Select Improve Print Quality, then Check Print Quality.
- Press Start to print the quality check sheet.
- Examine the black, cyan, magenta and yellow blocks.
- If all lines are complete, select No to finish.
- If lines are missing, select Yes.
- For each colour, choose the numbered pattern from 1 to 4 that best matches the printed result.
- If cleaning is recommended, press Start.
- After cleaning, select Yes, then Start to print another quality check sheet.
Expected result: all four colour blocks should contain complete, consistent lines.

- Select Black only, Color only or All.
- Choose Normal, Strong or Strongest.
- Start with Normal.
- Press Start.
- Wait for cleaning to finish, then print another quality check sheet.
